
Andy Fitzgerald, M Eng, P Eng
President
After serving in various maintenance management and engineering positions with the Canadian Air Force for over 20 years, Andy Fitzgerald retired as a senior officer in 2006 and co-founded ACF Associates. With his in-depth understanding of the military and commercial aerospace environments and his proven leadership and management capabilities, Andy’s focus has been to provide demonstrated performance improvement to both government and civilian industry through the development and implementation of Integrated Performance-Based Management Systems. Andy is also a lecturer at the Royal Military College of Canada in Aerospace Maintenance Management.
Andy has a Masters of Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Royal Military College of Canada. Andy is also a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.

Andrea Crossland, PhD
Vice President
Andrea Crossland co-founded ACF Associates after being employed in training, education, and research at universities and in civilian industry. She has a comprehensive understanding of the military environment and in particular the military technical training programs as well as the technologies available to augment those programs. She has authored a number of scholarly articles in area of technician training, technical troubleshooting, and integrated performance based management. She has experience in research as well as program/project/product design, development, and implementation.
Andrea obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Honours, a Bachelor of Education, and a Masters of Education from Queen’s University. Andrea also received a doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Ottawa and is an Ontario Certified Teacher. She has also obtained the Associate level certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.

Suzanne Cuerrier
Program Associate
Suzanne Cuerrier has been with ACF Associates since 2007 where her focus has been on DND/CF aircraft 2nd Level maintenance improvement, DND/CF Technical Airworthiness accreditation, and providing change solutions for aerospace organizations undergoing significant growth transformations. With 20 years as an Aviation Technician in the Canadian Air Force and four years experience as a Business and Quality Specialist, Suzanne has gained a thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance, Technical Airworthiness, Business Performance, and Quality System Management.
In 2003, Suzanne graduated from a full time Business Administration Diploma Program at Loyalist College with the Governor General Academic Medal for highest academic standing. She continued her subsequent professional development by taking formal courses in MSG-3, DND/CF Technical Airworthiness Program, Business Performance, and Quality System Management.

Chris Grinton
Program Associate
Chris joined ACF Associates in September 2011. He is a retired Canadian Forces Master Warrant Officer with over 29 years of aircraft aviation experience on fixed wing and rotary platforms. His aviation experience ranges from technical to supervisory and managerial. He possesses a thorough understanding of 1st and 2nd Line Maintenance, Training Standards and Life Cycle Material Management, Maintenance Policies & Procedures, Automated Reporting Systems, Quality Management Systems, Technical Airworthiness Programs and Technical Standard Programs.
Since joining ACF, Chris has been primarily involved with Performance Measurement of Maintenance.

Ihor Kozak, B Eng, MBA
Program Associate
Ihor spent 11 years as an officer with the Canadian Forces, serving in various leadership positions, domestically and internationally. Some of his responsibilities included flight-line aircraft maintenance management for domestic and international operations and establishment of a Logistics Support Program for a major aircraft acquisition project. In addition, due to his linguistic and interpersonal skills as well as understanding of the modern global environment, Ihor was asked to participate in diplomatic missions on behalf of the Canadian and US Governments, NATO, United Nations, and the European Union.
In 2008, Ihor retired from the Department of National Defence to become an entrepreneur and a consultant and has been active in industry, government, and non-governmental bodies throughout North America and Europe. Since joining ACF Associates, Ihor’s focus has been on providing enhanced maintenance solutions for the Canadian Air Force and aerospace support providers.
Ihor holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from the Royal Military College of Canada and a Masters in Business Administration.

Neil Smith
Program Associate
Neil joined ACF Associates in April 2008. A retired Canadian Forces Warrant Officer, he has over 28 years of military aviation experience ranging from technical to supervisory to managerial and, as a result of the various positions he has held, possesses an in-depth knowledge of current military aviation requirements. Since joining ACF Neil has focused his expertise on efficient maintenance practices, performance measurement of maintenance, long-term program planning and life cycle material management activities
Neil is a certified member of the Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council and has completed several aviation, leadership and management courses.
